There is a finale song that closes the show, it ran over on time which is why my dvr didn't get it.

yeah, they ran over, and luckily my dad said "Wow...they're gonna really run over with this here..." and I looked and it said "9:59" so I literally freaked out because I thought "What if they sing a goodbye song or something!?" and I altered it and changed it to stop recording 10 minutes after it was supposed to ended, just in case....
...lucky for me, because it ended at 10:08.....off by two little minutes! O_o

I would never in a million years guess I would ever have David Cook singing it. He lends a whole new definition to "Glory Note" yes? I have already played it 10 times & will have to do a few more b/4 I could even think about sleep!

they only do studio versions to the songs they sing when people vote. plus the last song that they did was a Contemporary Christian song and they totally blotted out, the first part, instead of singing, "My Jesus", they sang "My shepherd". Reason why, people would have thrown a fit because it's a "Jesus" song, which is true and that's why they didn't start it that way. My sister and I caught it when we where watching.

Actually on iTunes they do have a studio recorded version of Shout to the Lord AND they say "My Jesus" I was so excited when I heard it!
