Hey guys - I happen to have an extra ticket for the show tomorrow night, because my mom wasn't able to make it up to Boston this weekend. I don't have any friends around who are able or want to go tomorrow, so let me know if you need a ticket, or know someone who does. The seats aren't great, but the price is right! I'd just like to hang out with someone, rather than trying to navigate the whole thing by myself.

So, let me know if you'd like to come! If you live relatively near Boston, I can probably give you a ride, too.

Thanks, guys.

First of all, I wanted to sincerely thank everyone who has bought a David Cook Rocks bracelet so far. We officially hit the $10,000 mark yesterday. Isn't that insanely awesome? Word Nerds are so very generous!

Secondly, I've been talking with a few people, and we've been floating the idea of selling the bracelets at some of the American Idol concerts this summer, via "street teams". Basically, I would ship a certain number of bracelets to someone, and they and a few other volunteers would walk around selling bracelets either in the line, or at a makeshift "booth", depending on the venue. Then you'd ship back to me any bracelets you didn't sell at the venue. It wouldn't cost you anything, but you wouldn't be paid anything either. You'd just be spreading the WordNerd love and doing a good deed that benefits the Cook family and the ABTA.

I wanted to gauge interest, see if this might even be possible. Please respond here with any insight you have, and certainly let me know if you're interested in helping out with this at any of the venues. If there is enough interest, we will be setting up a formal website with much more detailed information, and we can get the ball rolling. If you'd like to contact me privately, go ahead and e-mail me at davidcookbracelets@gmail.com . I know there are other people doing similar things, or setting up booths, so I'd love to combine forces, if you're interested.

Thanks so much everyone! And for those still waiting on their bracelets to arrive, you will be getting them within the next week or two!

Nerdy love,

Some people were asking in another thread about the bracelets David was wearing in the People Magazine spread, and I wanted to let anyone who doesn't know yet about the purple and gray swirled "DAVID COOK ROCKS" bracelet. The bracelet has been sold since April, and the original goal was to raise money for Adam to attend the finale, as well as raising money for the American Brain Tumor Association. Now that the finale is over, the bracelet is still selling, and now half the proceeds are going to a fund set up at the Cooks' local bank, to cover some of Adam's medical expenses. The other half of the proceeds are still going to the ABTA - a wonderful organization which raises money and awareness for brain tumor research.

The other great part about the bracelet is that it's an obvious symbol of support that we can all wear to the tours this summer to show our David Cook pride. And since David has one and knows what it's about, he'll be able to recognize his fans as well, and know that they are helping both his family and issues that he cares deeply about.

So, here's a link to the website where you can purchase the bracelets, and find out tons more information, including pictures!

Thanks so much! And don't forget to bump this if you think it's important!

You know you want one! This is the last week to order your David Cook support bracelets where half the proceeds go to the fund set up to send his brother Adam back to LA for the finale. The other half of the proceeds goes to the American Brain Tumor Association. Check out all the info you need right here: http://davidcookbracelets.googlepages.com . Tell all your DC fan friends, and any way you can, get the word out!

Yes, I know there a couple of other bracelet/wristband projects going on, and that's great! I'd have no problem being totally "blinged" out with David Cook support gear! I don't think any of the projects exclude each other or overlap, at least that I've seen so far. (Just so you know, this IS the same bracelet I talked about in the thread "Official David Cook Support Bracelets". I just wanted to create a new thread to bump it up and hopefully get some new views.)

Thanks in advance for all of your support! ROCK ON, DAVID!

~Jamie
