Make "light On" Your Ringtone!

Last night I ended up downloading the song and turned it into a ringtone! I was at work today and someone heard it and asked who it was - and of course, I grinned and answered David Cook! Talk about promotion, right?

So anyway, there is a website called www.myxertones.com - you'll have to register an account and I'm sure if you do some searching you'll be able to find the song and you can actually pick what part of the song (and how much of the song) you want - send it to your phone and bam - you are rockin' DC's new single as your ringtone.

It's a cheater for now, because I'm sure I'll get in trouble somewhere down the road for telling everything this - but I know how excited everyone is about the new single!!

brand new tattoo

We all know the story behind David's "AC" tattoo and, how incredible it is. Some of you around these parts know about how I lost my father to three different forms of cancer this past December. My father had quite a few tattoos but only one in particular that I always loved, and when he passed away, I vowed that one day I would get the same exact tattoo, in his honor.

So...almost 8 months later, my twin sister and I decided to finally do it.

My father's original tattoo, it was on his right hand:


And my tattoo, which is a bit different. We couldn't find a tattoo artist that would recreate the tattoo because it was over 50 years old, but we found one artist who drew up a very similar design. My sister and I both put the tattoo on the back of our wrists..which... btw...if you don't have a high tolerance for pain - I do not suggest.

She doesn't hurt easily and she didn't even flinch once while he was doing her tattoo. My artist was a bit more...mean...and I think he was intentionally trying to hurt me. I won't lie, you guys, I cried toward the end. :\

Random story I thought I'd share..

So I was on my lunch break and randomly grabbed an old issue of People Magazine, it was dated March 2008. As I'm eating my pizza I'm flipping through the magazine and come across an article titled "American Idol: the ones to watch!"

It gave a little bit of information on 7 idols they thought could win the show: Amanda, Syesha, Michael, Carly, Robbi, Kristy and David Archuleta. Surprisingly enough - David Cook wasn't even an contender to them! I wonder if they ate their words at all when he won? :x
