Administer ARISTADA by intramuscular injection in the deltoid (441 mg dose only) or gluteal (441 mg, 662 mg, 882 mg or 1064 mg) muscle by a healthcare professional (2.1). For patients naïve to aripiprazole, establish tolerability with oral aripiprazole prior to initiating treatment with ARISTADA (2.1).
What are the side effects of Aristada?
Common side effects of Aristada include:
- feeling the urge to move constantly (akathisia),
- injection site reactions (pain, swelling, redness, a hard lump),
- weight gain,
- restlessness, or.
- increased blood creatine phosphokinase (CPK).
