Is the Botanical Garden free for UBC students?

This is a surprisingly large botanical garden that is well maintained and easy to walk through. If you are on the UBC campus, it is worth stopping by (expect to spend at least 45 minutes in the gardens) but not a stand alone destination unless you are obsessed with plants.
Are dogs allowed at UBC Botanical Garden?

Other than service dogs/animals, pets are not allowed in our garden. Please kindly leave your pets at home. There is no shade anywhere in our parking lot and it is dangerous to leave any pet in a car.

Where can I park at UBC Botanical Gardens?
From the airport, take SW Marine Drive northbound to UBC. We are located on the west side of SW Marine Drive. Please note that the entrance indicated on Google Maps is inaccurate. The entrance to the Garden and visitor parking is located parallel to Stadium Road.
Is there free parking at UBC?
TIP #1: You have to pay for parking at most places at UBC. However, there is free parking (for up to 2 hours) on the streets around Wesbrook Village and in the village’s main parking lot. If you find all the spaces are taken, there is also lots of pay parking elsewhere on the campus.

Is the UBC Botanical Garden Open?
UBC Botanical Garden and Nitobe Memorial Garden are open reduced hours and the Greenheart TreeWalk is closed. You can buy tickets on-site at UBC Botanical Garden or book your visit online. Nitobe Memorial Garden is open by donation. December 26 – January 9, 10 am-2 pm | Turn your Christmas tree into mulch for the Garden’s paths.
