What is Gore-Tex Windstopper?
The GORE® WINDSTOPPER® membrane is an ultra thin protective layer which is laminated to a lightweight textile layer, making it totally windproof. It is made of the versatile polymer PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) which is expanded to create a microporous structure.
Is Gore Windstopper the same as Gore-Tex?
The result is a windproof fabric that is highly breathable. While WINDSTOPPER® is windproof, highly breathable and water resistant, it is not waterproof. GORE-TEX®, like WINDSTOPPER®, is a laminate, but the difference is the GORE-TEX® membrane has much smaller pores, with over nine billion pores per square inch.
What is Windstopper fabric?
